Zusammen - Durch den Monsun
August 15th will be the third anniversary of the release of Durch den Monsun, the song that launched Tokio Hotel's career. We at Tokio Hotel International wanted to do something special to mark this three year milestone. So we're going to put together a new video, but to make it really amazing, we need YOU!
We would like you to send us pictures of yourself that were inspired by the song. You could pose with an umbrella, or dancing in the rain or whatever you like, as long as it shows us some link to the song. We will be compiling all the pictures onto a stormy background, and combining them with all the different versions of Durch den Monsun. Then on August 15th we will post the video on YouTube for everyone to enjoy, along with sending a copy to the band on CD. See the rules and more details by clicking the "Read more" link. After a great deal of effort, hours of lost sleep, tension headaches, and a few tears of frustration over internet connectivity issues, the Silent Solidarity video is completed. You can see pictures of the DVD and packaging on the Silent Solidarity page here.
The videos have also been uploaded to YouTube. You can see them here along with a number of other Get Well video messages to Bill. The video had to be split into 5 different parts because it was so long! Again, we'd like to thank everyone who participated in this fanaction. We ended up with over 400 pictures from 40 different countries, including a number of places that I think will surprise our favorite singer. We hope you enjoy the result. Concert in Oslo, Norway, canceled for good
I just recieved an e-mail from LiveNation, the company responsible for the concert in Oslo Spektrum: there will be no new concert date as Bill won't be able to do the whole tour.
So, for anyone who has tickets for the concert there, here's what you gotta do to get a refund: Tickets bought and picked up at Posten, Narvesen or 7-Eleven will be refundable where they were bought. (This means within each chain/distributor. For instance, if you bought/picked up your ticket in a post office, you can get the refund in any and all post offices in the country). Tickets bought at other distributors will be refunded where they were bought. Tickets paid with a credit card and sent directly to your home from Billettservice AS can be refunded in 2 ways: 1. Call 815 33 133 and give them your reference-number. They cancel the tickets and the money will be credited to the credit card that was used to buy the tickets. 2. You can send the tickets to Billettservice AS, 8607 Mo i Rana, mark the envelope "avlyst konsert". NB! Fees will not be refunded! This has to be done before May 11th! Mess in Spain with postponed concert tickets
Just some hours ago I was bouncing excitedly with my tickets for the rescheduled concert of Barcelona on June 27th. But as per the Official Spanish Fanclub site newspost, it seems that not everything went ok today.
Some days ago, Planet Events, the Spanish concert promotors, announced that people with old tickets would have preference when changing tickets for the Barcelona concert. That meant that from April 3rd to April 10th, only them would be able to get the tickets, in exchange for the Madrid postponed concert ones. Only after this period, the returned tickets and the additional tickets due to the biggest capacity of the new venue would be on sale for the general public. But according to THS, some of the El Corte Ingles stores did not respect the announced timeline, and sold ticktes to anyone. This, of course, did not seat well with fans that still had to change their Madrid tickets, as they fear that the most sought seats will be already sold. The newspost also provided a possible explanation for the change of city of the Spanish concert. It says that it may be due to the contract with the Rock in Rio festival (June 28th), that would not allow a band to perform in the same city at X days of the festival date, as they would lose audience. As this contract would have been already signed when the Madrid concert was postponed and a new date was needed, they had to look for another place where they could do the concert, and this place ended being Barcelona. April Fools ...
As most of you have noticed, yesterday's news was made up by me
There's no vocal coach called Marc Benotti (an if so, sorry, I made up your name) Bill's not hanging around with Bushido and most certainly isn't in love with him or even married. Or we just don't know it yet Bill's still recovering from his surgery and if Tom will ever take the lead role and sing a song on his own, no idea, but that would rule, wouldn't it?. David Jost never said what was quoted. And of course, their new single "Breaking Up" was their 1st complete flop and it's like it never existed, believe me :) Posted on 02 Apr 2008 by Nik
Bill eloped with Bushido!
Some "crazy" Tokio Hotel fans always believed it, now it came true ...

Bill is not allowed to speak for 10 days after the surgery
He has to go to a speech therapist and "he absolutely has to stick to the therapy to recover" said his producer and manager.
The young singer with the troubled voice. When will the surgery take place? When is he allowed to talk again? When is he allowed to sing? At the moment Bill Kaulitz (18) is in a clinic, rests his voice and is preparing himself for the surgery. A cyst on his vocal chords has to be removed. His brother Tom (18) is by his side 24/7. Bill is really scared about his voice. Tokio Hotels producer and manager David Jost told the B.Z.: "The surgery is expected to take place on monday." And one can already expect that this won't be a "fast thing", even though the surgery is kind of small (endoscopic; it means through the mouth with the help of a surgical microscophe) and would go smoothly. Jost explains: "After the surgery Bill is not allowed to speak for 10 days and the healing process of the operated vocal chord has to get checked by a doctor on a regular basis. The therapy at the speech therapist will take about 3 weeks." How is Bill, what is he thinking about, what are his wishes? David Jost: "Bill is crazy. All the time he's thinking about when he will be able to be back on stage with a mic. He has a bad conscience because of the cancelled gigs. But this is stupid, when he thinks like that you really have to stop him. Bill hates it when he gets instructions, but after the surgery he absolutely has to stick to the recovery - even if you have to make him do that!" Silent Solidarity - Well Wishes for a Quick Recovery
As everyone has by now heard, Bill is very ill and needs surgery to remove a cyst on his vocal cords. Once the surgery is over, he'll have to spend some time without talking or singing, to allow his throat to heal.
We here at Tokio Hotel International want Bill to know that we're by his side and will be here to support him no matter how long that process takes. We want him to hear that his fans will still be waiting for him, and that our first priority is his health. So we want you to join us in an international get well video for Bill. Send us a picture of yourself with your finger to your lips as though saying "shhhh!" and holding up a get well message for Bill, written in your own language. Please include a translation of the message into either German or English, as we are going to have all the messages translated into German for Bill. You have until April 11th to get your pictures to us. Please send them to lirren@tokiohotelinternational.com. Pictures should be in jpg format and larger than 768 x 576 pixels. It also needs to be taken in landscape format rather than portrait (that means the longest part of the picture needs to be across rather than up and down). As soon as we get all the pictures, we'll organize them into a video for Bill, so he'll know how much his fans wish him well soon. If you have any questions, you can check here on the forum, or you can email us here at THI: webmaster@tokiohotelinternational.com. Also, please don't forget the two e-cards that have been organized for Bill. There is one organized by THDA on MySpace. The link is here, and you need a MySpace account to sign. The other one is on LiveJournal, although anyone can sign it, whether they have a journal or not. It can be found here. ETA: We will be posting the video in multiple places on the internet, but we will also be sending a hard copy of the DVD directly to Bill, and have had confirmation from the source who is going to get it to him. So send your pictures in - Bill will definitely get them! You can find this information translated to German, Spanish, Norwegian, Hebrew and French here in the wiki! Posted on 25 Mar 2008 by Laura
Probable surgery and more cancellations
A news article just appeared on BILD.de, Germany's yellow press #1.
you can find it here: Source: BILD article Bill seems to have a cyst on his vocal cords/folds that has to be removed in order to recover his health. After that surgery he will have to take time for it to heal, he won't be able to speak or sing at all for a while. If we can believe that article (well, they quote David Jost), it means that the rest of the tour will be canceled completely until he's able to use his voice again. edit: it's confirmed now, there are many other sources that report about it. Stay tuned for another news update! Posted on 24 Mar 2008 by Nik

Torino concert cancelled too
The concert scheduled on March 23rd in Torino was cancelled yesterday by a post on the Italian official site.
It says that Bill is still ill, and that the latest medical examination confirms that Bill won't be able to perform in Torino. The band is sad that they won't be able to perform, specially as the concert was sold out. Bill tried every known trick to no success. He is still under medical treatment. Right now, the concerts of Roma and Bologna remain on schedule. For more updates on this concerts or on the cancelled one of Torino, visit the official site. More News on Bill's Throat Problem
Letter from the boys:
![]() Official announcement in english at TH's website TOKIO HOTEL CONCERTS CANCELED DUE TO ILLNESS In Marseille it already began to emerge that Bill is not well as he tried to sing to the end of the show for his fans. Directly after the concert the doctors confirmed that Bill´s vocal chords were badly inflamed from a bad cold and that it is impossible for him to sing further. Today Bill was flown to Germany in the hope that his personal doctors could get him back on his feet but they unfortunately could not help him and strictly ordered him to a week of rest. All his doctors have forbidden him to sing for a week otherwise he runs the risk of endangering the whole tour. Therefore we regrettably have to cancel the concerts on March 18th Madrid / Spain, March 20th. Douai / France, March 21st. Geneva / Switzerland. Bill is very disheartened: "For a singer the worst thing that could happen is to stand in front of a sold out hall and to know that you can´t sing your songs and that thousands of fans will be disappointed." The band is very sad about the situation and hopes, along with their fans, that Bill will be allowed back on stage for the show in Turin but this decision will be made by the doctors after further examinations. We will give you news as soon as we have it, until then we wish Bill all the best and hope that he gets well soon.
